We’re unique in our approach to volume production, a way of working that delivers high-quality corporate, marketing and L&D video content at a cost that’s realistic. Content is king these days and it's all about maximising your deliverables.
When we first started working within the corporate and L&D worlds we were shocked by the budgets available compared with those we were used to working to in our brand work. In all honestly this approach was born out of necessity, given we wouldn’t compromise on the quality we were used to delivering for television while having to do so with far less to spend.
We work with you to maximise the content captured on every shoot day, whether scripted, unscripted or indeed a mix of the two. We also plan in content for social outreach, employer engagement, other departments that might help you part fund, teasers, promos and trailers to maximise what you get from a single day’s filming. Through our post-production processes honed while making well over 2,000 corporate videos, we amortise the production (filming) costs across multiple videos, delivering high-end results while reducing your cost per video.
Below are a few of the many projects where we’ve approached productions this way. We’ve tried to showcase a range to get you thinking about what’s possible. And please do get in contact if you wish to discuss an idea, however early in your planning process. We believe this approach will change the way you think about video production.
To date probably the best thing we’ve ever made in the L&D sector. Key points were reinforced through a series of 2-4 minute comedic sketches, all shot in a tiny green screen studio, featuring a host of characters, some of which were familiar faces from TV. 18 x 4-5 minute videos created in total with another set of 18 x 1 minute ‘video flash cards’.
Hundreds of films shot across 12 months in all areas of the Nissan plant in Sunderland. Mix of TPM and FLM SOPs (shot in weekend and evening downtime and made available as ‘in the moment’ learning) and presenter-led mandatory platform content featuring in-house trainers, shot in the training room on-site.
One of the more fun productions we’ve been involved in. All of the crew appeared in scenes at some point in this series of 29 episodes. Shot in a tiny green screen studio with pick ups in the streets around the location, the backgrounds were added in post to create a really fun and engaging newsroom pastiche. Shot in just 2 days.
A fully scripted format stretching to almost 70 episodes. Mix of professional presenters delivering to camera and humorous role play scenarios featuring a fantastic group of actors. Shot across four days, two in small studio and two in a hired location space that looked amazing. Over four hours of programming created in total.
CompTIA bought into the idea of volume production immediately after we met with them to initially produce a single event film. In a format that we’ve now repeated many times, we shoot around their events while filming as many interviews as possible with key stakeholders, staff and clients in a dedicated room, creating a raft of films from each event.
This was the first time we’d taken our volume production model and applied it to remote filming. Having produced 6 series of videos filming in a studio environment, the last set needed to feature people from up and down the country. So over the course of 3 days we captured 16 long form interviews, conducted online, and created more than 30 video assets and 5 hours of programming.
Here we created over 60 films for F1 In Schools, shooting for a single day in a studio before sending a crew to the World Finals in Singapore. Despite the travel this was the most cost-effective way to feature interviews with youngsters from all over the world. Great experience and a set we’re proud of…very ‘E4’ in style.
A series of 3-5 min films focusing on safety checks when using forklift trucks, shot in a ‘live’ factory environment at JLR. Footage captured was edited into a set of ten videos, all cut to voice overs added later. Shot in one day.
36 films (c. 5mins) in total shot in 2 days at a hired location in Utah. In addition to a profile piece focusing on Carl to kick the set off, we created a full box-set featuring a superstar of the financial services world delivering his tailored course to camera. Produced for the St. James’s Place L&D team.
This still remains a record for us…87 films shot in a single day, featuring 7 influencers from the FE world, filmed in all areas of the original Dragon’s Den location. Mix of interviews and prepared content ranging from in-depth discussions and profiles to short tips and hacks. A great experience for all contributors and an incredible feat in terms of material captured.
